Former aide to ex-VP Osinbajo called for Emefiele's thorough probe, but his statement appears to have angered many Nigerians.

"Your overall boss and his financial minister slept on CBN's shenanigans under Godwin Emefiele. You should be ashamed of yourself and your bosses," a Twitter user said.
